Faith Kipyegon drops out of Sirikwa Classic in Season opener.

Triple Olympic champion Faith Kipyegon made a disappointing exit from the Sirikwa Classic Cross Country Race, cutting short her much-anticipated return to the event that sparked her record-breaking streak last season.
Kipyegon dropped out with one lap to go after trailing 10km world record holder Agnes Ngetich, who went on to claim victory. Her withdrawal remains unexplained, though the challenging terrain and sweltering conditions are believed to have played a role.
This marked Kipyegon’s first race of the season, a stark contrast to her dominant performance in the 2023 edition, where she stormed to victory before embarking on a historic year on the track.
